Celebrating Humanity Through Art

Jenya Steevan is a visual artist dedicated to bringing people together, raising awareness of social issues, and inspiring change through art. Originally from Czechoslovakia, she grew up in the Soviet Union before moving to the United States in 2016

Her creative journey began in theater, where she worked as an actress, director, and stage speech coach. She also hosted a television program focused on youth and social issues. After relocating to the U.S., Jenya turned to photography and video as powerful tools for storytelling, creating projects that highlight marginalized voices, advocate for women, and explore the human experience.

Jenya’s work is deeply rooted in movement, gesture, and visual narrative. Her latest project, MUTE, is an art performance film that explores the many meanings of silence—both as a form of oppression and as a language of its own. Through MUTE, she challenges conventional ideas of voice and expression, proving that communication goes far beyond words.

Passionate about community engagement and socially conscious storytelling, Jenya continues to push artistic boundaries, using her creativity as a force for connection, education, and change.
